still fighting was written and recorded on the road during our Shades Tour in 2025, mostly in the back of our van, somewhere between shows, cities, crossing borders, and long nights that refused to end. A few quiet hotel rooms found their way into the process, too, but the heart of the song lives on the road.
The arrangement is intentionally fragile and close, with piano, acoustic guitar, and Sina’s voice leading the way, surrounded by soft harmonies and improvised percussion. Salt shakers replaced drums. Chairs creaked. Birds sang outside open doors. Those sounds are witnesses to where we were when the song was born.
Lyrically, still fighting feels like a whispered confession at 3 a.m. It is a song for the quiet warriors, for anyone carrying unseen battles, holding on through endless nights, and finding the strength to keep going when giving up would be easier.
This song carries a part of our journey, in all its struggle and beauty.
A reminder that finding the strength to keep going is sometimes the hardest thing of all.
